JAMIT

Young Ambassador Itinerant (JAMIT)

JAMIT is a project initiated by the Alberta Family-Youth Alliance (AJFAS) in partnership with the Cultural Resource Center Francophone for Ethnic Communities (CEREFRAC) of Ontario and Chantier d’Afrique du Canada (CHAFRIC) of Quebec.

JAMIT aims to build a harmonious, integrated and socially cohesive society.

The mission of JAMIT:

Establish solidarity links between different communities to promote intercultural understanding;
Promote equal opportunities for young people of all origins;
Promote citizenship, civic engagement and a healthy democracy.

WHO CAN BECOME ITINERANT AMBASSADOR ?

If you feel empowered, motivated and ready to become involved in the community to contribute to harmony, peace and justice in society and especially with young Francophones in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec, the JAMIT project concerns you.

Criteria:

Be between 12 and 30 years old
Being a curious, motivated, committed person with a clear desire to act to change things;
Be enrolled in a school in the Greater Toronto Area, College or University in any of the three provinces;
Ability to interact with youth from other schools, colleges and universities in other regions or provinces;
Have a good level of French and / or a strong will to communicate in French;
Be able to manage your time well and be willing to build solidarity with other young people.
